Getting Equipped for the DMV Driving Test

by Lee on February 19, 2012

It is perhaps the dream of almost, if not all, every teen to learn how to drive and to ultimately possess a driver’s license. As we all know, teenagers love excitement. And with driving, a lot of their desires will come true like going to places outside their comfort zone.

Of course, when adolescents will finally have their own car and driving license, they are still subject to the rules set by their parents. In other words, whether it is about driving their car or doing some other things that teens are wont to do, it is still very important that they obey their parents because they wish their kids only no harm.

Along that line, parents must instill in their children that in driving, as well as everything in life, being law abiding has its rewards and that it is not worth it to break the law just for the sake of it. This should be the reminders of the young drivers especially if they will prepare for the DMV practice test, which is one of the requirements before they can get their driving license.

Before teaching them how to drive, parents must first teach their young drivers all about the car, its different parts and how they work.

This is very essential since during the DMV practice permit test, applicants will not only be tested on how well they can drive or obey traffic rules but also on how well they know that car they are driving. For instance, young drivers should be able to look in the rear view mirror when going on reverse so they don’t have to turn their head when doing so. Or, which light to turn on when making a right or left turn. Knowing these things is also very crucial to a driver.

Parents should always be at their young driver’s side when he or she is learning how to drive.

Not only it is cheaper when the parents’ singlehandedly coach their children the rudiments of driving, it would also develop a deeper bonding that is so lacking in the child-parent relationship. This is also advantageous for both parents and teens especially if the young driver will be using the family car for his or her own use. If the family has an extra automobile in the garage, then it would be a good idea to let the kid use it to go to school or work.

In California DMV practice test is conducted upon inquiry from interested applicants.
